Telluride, Colorado

SUN | JUNE 27 | 2027

To Our Friends & Family

Telluride, Colorado is one of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever been, and the mountains have always been one of our favorite places. We couldn’t imagine a better setting for such a special day.

On our wedding day, we’ll take the gondola up to San Sophia Overlook for our ceremony and cocktails high in the mountains. After taking in the views, we’ll head back down to Mountain Village for dinner and drinks at Communion Wine Bar (don’t worry, there will be plenty of non-wine options too!).

Our wedding will be a small, intimate celebration with our closest family and friends. We know that keeping our wedding small means we unfortunately can’t invite everyone we love, but we’re incredibly grateful for all the wonderful people in our lives, whether they’re celebrating with us in person or from afar.

We also know that traveling to Telluride is a commitment, so please know there’s absolutely no pressure if you’re unable to make the trip. We completely understand and will be celebrating with you in spirit, wherever you are.

For those making the journey, we hope you’ll make this trip about you, too! Explore Telluride, hike, sightsee, relax in the mountains, and enjoy a vacation out west. We’ll be spending about a week in the area before the wedding and hope to share some informal plans and opportunities to spend time together.

More than anything, we’re excited to share this special place with some of the people who mean the most to us. We can’t wait to celebrate together!

A Note About Altitude

  • 8,750 ft Telluride
  • 9,545 ft Mountain Village
  • 10,540 ft San Sophia Overlook

Part of what makes Telluride and Mountain Village so beautiful is their location high in the San Juan Mountains. The elevation can take some getting used to, and altitude affects everyone differently.

If your schedule allows, consider arriving a day or two before the wedding to give yourself some time to acclimate. During your first couple of days, take it easy, drink plenty of water, use sunscreen, and go light on alcohol while your body adjusts.

We don’t want the altitude to sound intimidating! We simply want everyone to know what to expect, feel comfortable in the mountains, and enjoy their time in Telluride.

Plan Your Trip

Getting Here

For most guests, we recommend flying into Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) and continuing to Telluride by shuttle or rental car. We’re looking into transportation options and potential group rates, and we’ll share more information as plans come together.

Where to Stay

Telluride and Mountain Village are connected by the free gondola, making either a great place to stay. Mountain Village will be especially convenient for the wedding day, while Telluride offers a historic downtown atmosphere. We’ll share lodging recommendations and any available group rates as they’re confirmed.

Things to Do

Telluride has plenty to fill your days, from hiking and sightseeing to exploring town, enjoying local restaurants, or simply relaxing in the mountains. We’ll be there for about a week before the wedding and hope to share some informal plans and group activities as they come together.
